I have worked in information security for more than two decades, as a product manager and as a founder. My field is security information and event management (SIEM), log management and security analytics, behavior analytics among them.
I co-founded my first security company in France, then moved to the Bay Area to start a second, which LogLogic/Tibco Software later acquired. In 2013 I joined The Hive incubator in Palo Alto to found E8 Security, machine-learning security analytics designed to identify advanced persistent threats inside enterprise networks. VMware acquired E8 Security in 2018 to bring behavior analytics into its secure digital workspace offering.
I also run Logcaliper, two free tools for SIEM and log management sizing. The profiler measures a sample log in your browser, with nothing uploaded: bytes per event, events per second, message templates. The iPhone and iPad app, on the App Store since 2010, sizes every source to storage and cluster.
